If you wanted to get the Obama people to leap, you’d get an underling to leak disinformation. That’s what I think this might be. Shoot their wad early and wake up with a different Veep.

That would be the smart thing to do. If McCain had ads ready to go about Biden, there might be someone with enough brain cells at the Obama camp to have planned similarly. Let them spin their wheels making Pawlenty and Ridge ads, and then announce someone else...someone who appeals to conservatives...
