Michelle Obama Confronted by Post-Abortion Message, Pictures of Unborn Children

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A party convention is a great place to expose your message to some of the top political leaders and the country and pro-life advocates took advantage of that at this week's Democratic convention. On two occasions, they drove home the pro-life perspective for Michelle Obama, wife of the pro-abortion presidential candidate.

During a woman's political caucus on Thursday, three women who have had abortions and regret their decisions gave Obama an eye opener.

During her speech to the Democratic group, the four women walked briskly to the front of the room. Each of them sported T-shirts saying either "I Regret My Abortion" or "Abortion Hurts Women."

According to an AP report, the four women talked in unison as they made their way to the podium where Obama stood.

"Abortion hurts women. We need to support women. It's not a Republican or Democratic issue," they said.

The women were eventually drowned out with chants of "Obama!" from the audience and security officials led them away -- but not before they got their point across to the candidate's wife, who strongly supports partial-birth abortions.

Meanwhile, as Michelle Obama and her entourage left their hotel on Tuesday afternoon, they were confronted with huge images of aborted babies on the sides of large rental trucks operated by Operation Rescue.

Driver Bob Rothlisberger reports that Obama stared at the trucks for several seconds and had to have gone away from the encounter with a visual of what happens to unborn children in an abortion.

"This is one of the reasons why it is so important for us to be at events like the DNC," Operation Rescue president Troy Newman told LifeNews.com.

Otherwise, "I doubt if we would ever get the opportunity to show Mrs. Obama the reality of what her husband's extremist support for abortion really means, in human terms.

"A picture's worth a thousand words, and she definitely got the message today," he said.

"It is important for the Obamas to understand the very tragic consequences of their support for abortion. We pray that this encounter affects her on a very deep level and gives her more compassion for the innocent lives that are brutally and inhumanely killed by abortion," said Newman.

It likely will not change her mind, knowing how entrenched in evil she and her husband are. But it does hold her accountable. She can never claim that she didn’t know what she was supporting. Good for those activists! God bless them.
