Virginia Congressman Eric Cantor

Why not? We already have too many Conservatives in the House, getting Cantor out of there is good strategy, right?

You make a good point.

There WOULD be a down-side to having him be J. Sidney’s VP pick. Namely, that he would no longer represent me in the House of Representatives.

But, he would cast the deciding vote in the Senate in case there is a tie.
Isn't the VP the President of the Senate ?
