The latest three-day Gallup Poll Daily tracking average (Aug. 25-27) is directly coincident with the first three days of the Democratic National Convention in Denver, and is no doubt beginning to reflect the typical convention "bounce" that Gallup has observed in most party conventions in recent decades.
There is a lag of sorts involved in the daily tracking; interviewing is conducted in most parts of the country before that evening's high-focus speeches have taken place. Thus, the current three-day average would reflect any impact of Monday night's speech by Michelle Obama, and Tuesday night's speech by Hillary Clinton, but would not completely reflect Wednesday night's lineup of speakers, such as John Kerry, former President Bill Clinton, and vice presidential nominee Joe Biden, nor the appearance on stage at the end of the evening by Barack Obama himself.

At first glance this looks like a normal bounce.
At second glance it looks a little stronger than normal because the 3 day tracker was even yesterday. That means a huge Obama night in the polling last night. It can probably be attributed more to the announcement of his “history making nomination” than to the speeches.
The only way he’ll get a legitimate bounce is if they only poll the Denver delegates.
“Maybe it’s just a diversion but Lieberman would definitely be transformative.”
Yeah, he’d transform from a possible winner to a definate loser.
Do you realize how disappointed the "principled conservatives" are going to be if he doesn't pick Lieberman?
Many of them are afraid that McCain is going to lose, and, unfortunately, too many are afraid he is going to win.
It is boost that becomes a problem:
Hopefully, B.O. Plenty will get the former, and McCain the latter.
With all the media love....the police throwing out abc journalists....lawyers trying to shut down Ayers ads.... NOBAMA should be 20-30 points ahead.
How long ‘til McCain concedes? < \sarcasm>
Looks like the last night was something like 53-40 for Obama, and the next two nights should be in the same range, at least. So, on Sat Gallup will show Obama with a double digit lead, almost certainly. Sad to say, but they appeared to put on a much more successfull convention than in 2004.
How about the media report on both polls and let the People decide which they believe is the more legitimate poll?
Unreal, the dopes are buying all the lies and distortions coming out of Denver. The media will simply use the hurricane as an excuse to ignore the GOP Convention. Something is wrong if Rasmussen has it tied and the liberals at Gallup have it +6 fo the Messiah. Are the American people that stupid to buy this line of shit ?
Looks like the American people are eating up the RAT garbage this year. It's not time to panic, but this is obviously not good news.
Amazing, the idiots are eating up all the RAT GARBAGE....The MEDIA has really driven this distortion of facts, they are soley responsible. Mccain finally closes the gap and goes ahead and all for naught because of the media coronation of the Messiah. Wait till the Nazi Media gets starts reporting the rsults of this poll. It will be non-stop face sucking.....
Also, keep this in mind about McCain. Agree or disagree with his policies, like him or hate him, he is a fighter and will battle every step of the way.
Keep in mind the 9 point berlin bounce.
These are push polls.
No they are not that stupid and they are not going to elect Obama for President.
Mccain needs to get his VP pick out tonight and blunt some of the Messiah worship by the Nazi Media. Looks like the RNC may postpone the convention if the hurricane threatens the Gulf Coast which is highly probable. The Lord Messiah’s lies from his enablers should immeditely countered by Mccain but the hurricane is going to be THE STORY THIS WEEKEND and into Tuesday. Too bad there are no tornado warnings for Denver tonight- They deserve it the lying stinking commies. !
John Kerry never got a post-convention bounce:

If we want a GOD-KING, Obama is our MAN-GOD.
Not true..he did...it was 4 to 6 points. Someone posted a link yesterday.
