I can't even make a smart a$$ comment...I am mad and physically ill by this 'performance.'

That's exactly how I felt after this tawdry spectacle. During his speech, I started thinking of my father, who fought in the jungles of the Pacific in WWII... my many uncles and cousins who served this country during numerous conflicts over the years. My grandfather who fought in the trenches of France in WWI.

And here we have this celebration of Marxism - complete with posters and T-shirts of 'Che Obama' - in a freakin' stadium filled with 90,000 people. The democRATic candidate standing on a stage designed by Britney Spears' set designer and accompanied by fireworks. Mature adults screaming, crying and fainting over some "community organizer" who happens to give good speeches. A Nobody "community organizer" - with some vague/dangerous ideas - who very well may become Commander in Chief of the military of The United States of America... "Leader of the Free World".

And all media with the exception of Fox News is gushing and joining in on the party. CNN held "convention-watching parties" all over the country, and ran Obama's speech live on the jumbotrons in Times Square in NYC (and breathlessly sought comments from swooning viewers afterward).

Will CNN do the same for John McCain? I thought not.

McCain will fight back with FACTS, I am sure. But do facts matter anymore? This country becomes more dumbed-down every year... I fear a good many in this country (particularly the young people) don't give a rat's ass about what's actually good for this country anymore, they will vote for the American Idol candidate. And their text-messaging friends will remind them to get out and vote, too.

And meanwhile, the memory of what happened to this country on 9/11/01 slowly fades away...

Hi, just got back home from Okinawa. Got a kid over there in the Navy. Oh my what our men endured ... Have you read the book, With The Old Breed? EB Sledge is the author. I’d highly reccommend it.

I’m not really disturbed about Barak Obama’s speech; what I find disturbing, nay terrifying, is the amount of people who will vote for him.

I saw one of the dems this week say “when Bush took office we were a country at peace and now we are at war”..on Fox, and no one spoke up to remind him of 9 11.
