Barack just said that if you’re gay and in the hospital, you’re not allowed to have loved ones visit you. That’s funny, because I was never aware of that.
I believe that in cases of serious/life threatening or terminal illness only family members/relatives are allowed to visit or give medical permissions. A gay partner would thus be excluded.
