We're still waiting for the Big One. (A subduction quake of about 9.0 -- 1,000 times more powerful than a 6.0, is supposedly overdue.) There'll be a Tsunami then.
Here's a map of the quakes we've had in this area over the last 30 days:
We've had over 15 small quakes so far this week &
dozens more are expected today. Nothing big is expected -- it's just a routine earthquake swarm. The 6.1 quake could release as much energy as a whole swarm of smaller quakes.
