One of the commentators on Fox & Friends this morning made a great comment about this setup. He said that he actually found the stage to be very appropriate for Obama. It looks really pretty on the front, but there’s nothing behind it, it’s an empty facade, just like Obama. He casts a really good ‘look’, but he’s a completely empty suit.

Reminds me of something I experienced right before Thanksgiving last year.

When I get sick, one of my staples is oatmeal, with blackstrap molasses. The special kind of oatmeal I can only find at Whole Foods Market. Well, I got sick and I went over there to pick up some oatmeal. As I left the store, I heard this voice asking me if I wanted to make this a really good Thanksgiving.

I automatically dismiss any solicitors outside of stores, but I did look back, and it was two guys behind a big "IMPEACH CHENEY" poster, in front of the store. (Didn't see it on the way in.)

That was 9 months ago. I've not gone back. I don't know if that display was allowed (or instigated) by the store, but I figured I would not support a store that openly supported such a radical position.

The point of mentioning this here? Anyone who has been to a Whole Foods Market, knows how large it is, how sparkling clean they try to keep it, how "green" (barf) they try to keep it, and all of that comes at a cost. Especially now, the PravDNC is putting on this dog and pony show, trying to make us think that they are something they are not, and all of that comes at a cost.

My specific thought was: "Whole Foods Market and the DNC: it all looks good, until you get the bill."

One of my favorite Star Trek Episodes...
There was only one man who could defeat him!
