“Why didn’t they just rent Red Rocks ?”

Obviously someone dropped the ball on that one, that would have been even better.

Alas, Red Rocks doesn't have nearly the same seating (worship) capacity of tonight's coronation site.

Is anyone familiar with the concept of the show “my sweet 16”

southpark did an episode based on that series.

It is a reality show abotu 16 year old brat girls with access to daddy’s money who have sweet 16 comming out parties.

They have “an entrance” and an outragious feature “volcano cake” and then daddy gives the girl some car as a present.

In the southpark episod the devil played the 16 year old girl and he was angry a cake in the shape of a full sized ferrari was late. (of course a bunch of catholic bishops were partying in an inapproprate way at the end)

This is like little brat Obama’s sweet 16 comming out party.

CHILDREN pretending to be adults.

Actually this is a PERFECT metaphor for liberal thought....Filled with idol worship of false man-gods and idols. Distracting from the One true G-d.

What's with those Red, Black and Green flags [banners] on the far left and the far right of the temple?

When I was a kid, there was a pun on the "Red White and Blue is here, the All-American beer" commercial, which went like "Red Black and Green is here, the Afro-American beer".

Tell your son we are confused about the procedures for attending tonight’s event.

As the supplicant approaches the entrance to the temple, is he or she required to approach only on their knees for the last twenty yards or may they just prostate themselves off to the side of the entrance and rise and enter after a blessing?

Additionally, what is the monetary dispensation for failure to attend? Will $250.00 cut it if you are in Denver but don’t want to attend? I he making an exception for former Presidents of his own party?

The Litergy for this is all so confusing.

The set designers are wrong.
It looks like a temple with a raised alter.
I wonder who Obama will be sacrificing tonight.”

Could be tough to have a sacrifice: Not too many Dimorat virgins exist.

Freepers Beware!

Today is the 45th anniversatorry of Martin Luther King’s historic speech - ‘I have a dream’.

The ‘greek temple’ is actually a recreation of the Lincoln Memorial, where the March On Washington ended and MLK’s speech was made.

This will make the Dems WEEP!

The ‘rat media will EAT THIS UP!

Be prepared!””

I double guarantee you that the Nobama campaign knew exactly when that speech was made and scheduled the convention accordingly. If the anniversary had fallen on Monday or Tuesday, Nobama would have given his speech then, and the convention would have been set back to Sat or Sun, etc.

It reminds me a bit of the structure at Arlington by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

I'm sure you're correct about the MLK symbolism and how it will send the delegates and the media into orgiastic euphoria.

However, the truth is, most white Americans are sick of having MLK treated like a deity. That's particularly true of the blue collar whites Obama needs to win the swing states, so he isn't going to be helping himself by presenting his regal presence as the culmination of MLK’s dream.

I'd gladly vote for Michael Steele and so would millions of other whites, but people are fed up with MLK being treated as if he's the most important American in history and a virtual god-like presence. Obama’s pushing the race card a bit too far on this one.

The McCain camp is wrong. Obama isn’t the biggest celebrity in the world, he’s the biggest non-entity.

One of the commentators on Fox & Friends this morning made a great comment about this setup. He said that he actually found the stage to be very appropriate for Obama. It looks really pretty on the front, but there’s nothing behind it, it’s an empty facade, just like Obama. He casts a really good ‘look’, but he’s a completely empty suit.

Reminds me of something I experienced right before Thanksgiving last year.

When I get sick, one of my staples is oatmeal, with blackstrap molasses. The special kind of oatmeal I can only find at Whole Foods Market. Well, I got sick and I went over there to pick up some oatmeal. As I left the store, I heard this voice asking me if I wanted to make this a really good Thanksgiving.

I automatically dismiss any solicitors outside of stores, but I did look back, and it was two guys behind a big "IMPEACH CHENEY" poster, in front of the store. (Didn't see it on the way in.)

That was 9 months ago. I've not gone back. I don't know if that display was allowed (or instigated) by the store, but I figured I would not support a store that openly supported such a radical position.

The point of mentioning this here? Anyone who has been to a Whole Foods Market, knows how large it is, how sparkling clean they try to keep it, how "green" (barf) they try to keep it, and all of that comes at a cost. Especially now, the PravDNC is putting on this dog and pony show, trying to make us think that they are something they are not, and all of that comes at a cost.

My specific thought was: "Whole Foods Market and the DNC: it all looks good, until you get the bill."

"SOME PEOPLE ARE HYPNOTIZED BY THIS CHARACTER OBAMA."

I wonder if Obama learned vocal hypnosis from Bill Ayers. I watched him hypnotize a group of women in 1969.
