Having convictions you stand by is not self-righteousness. Perhaps if a few folks had done it more, we wouldn’t have Obama and McCain as our choices.

Ignoring reality and the CONSEQUENCES of your actions is NOT “having convictions”. How does it fit with your conservative convictions to actively help elect Obama, who will destroy everything you hold dear?

Excuse me, refusing any compromise to the detriment of the country, is not just self-righteous, it is irresponsible.

Not doing everything within our power (legally, of course) to deny the WH to Obama, is reprehensible.

Life is filled with compromises that require rational thought, not a stubborn disregard for consequence.
