Fox News Feels Wrath Of DNC Protesters: Reporter Besieged With F-Bombs On Live Air
WLKY-TV ^ | August 27, 2008

Fox News Channel isn't always getting fair and balanced treatment from protesters at the Democratic National Convention this week in Denver.

In at least two instances this week, Fox News -- which is often accused of conservative leanings despite its "Fair and Balanced" claim -- was under siege by DNC protesters.

On Sunday, Fox reporter Griff Jenkins was doing a live shot of what he described as a 1,000-person antiwar protest march, when things went awry.

In the shot, which is still getting heavy play on YouTube.com, Jenkins attempts to ask some of the marchers what they were protesting. He did get one response not tainted with profanities -- "Stop the torture, stop the war" -- among a few others with F-words.

Jenkins and his photographer were then surrounded with protesters chanting in unison, "F--- Fox News."

Several of the F-word chants made it on the live air before an anchor resumed coverage at Fox News' studios.

Then on Monday, Fox News contributor and conservative columnist Michelle Malkin became a target at the "Recreate '68" protest in front of the Denver Mint -- the protest was an effort to recreate the DNC riots in Chicago from four decades ago.

On her blog, Malkin called the protest "an abysmal failure."

"The nostalgic, Marx-adoring organizers of 'Recreate '68' seem to have mustered no more than, oh, 68 bodies," Malkin wrote. "Their presence here is dwarfed by the massive show of police, press, and camera-toting looky-loos."

Like the Jenkins fiasco, a video of the event also made it onto YouTube, where 9/11 conspiracy proponent Alex Jones confronts Malkin. In the video, Malkin asks Jones to turn his camera around because she's working, to which he replies, "You're working for the all elitist and powerful."

Jones then turned the attention to Fox's coverage of the 9/11 tragedy.

"The majority of victims' families know that 9/11 is an inside job, Michelle," Jones said, while another unidentified man asked, "So why do you keep disrespecting them on (Fox News)?"

The DNC ends Thursday with Sen. Barack Obama's acceptance of the Democratic presidential nomination at Denver's Invesco Field.

::::::::
All one has to do is look at the quality of “people” that represent these street dregs. Fox should not even worry about these low-life maggots.

No FOX reporter should go out there unless they are accompanied by the Ohio National Guard.

Well, when you confront the Bowel Movement Brigade (see other reports of feces totting protesters,) things will get messy.

I saw a pundit the other day who said that a lot of people who voted for Bush in 2004 are dead now. Given that they're dead, I suppose they'll be voting Democrat this time around.

They can't think so they can't let anyone else even talk, or they are sunk. No, check that. They are just sunk whatever they do.

Precisely!

They are quite likely to get exactly what they voted for, and I'm not so secretly thrilled.

It seems that this country goes through a populist desire binge periodically, and we can try to stand in front of the train, but this is destined to fail as a tactic, for they will keep trying until they get what they want. (The principle weakness of democracy)

I see it as a needed and absolutely critical political lesson that must be re taught from time to time, and this is unfortunately the time. Watching these idiots the past few days, I have become numb....almost sick...and definitely worried for our country's future, but this lesson has to be taught, and the price will be high. Very high.

But in four to eight years, likely four, the pendulum will swing back and if we survive it, the Republican Party will once again own the issues, and the seats in Congress that we so arrogantly lost.

Makes sense the best they could come up with is the F-word. Usually, ignorant people have limited vocabularies, so you really can’t expect well-thought-out retorts or comments.

The time bombs that FDR and LBJ set in previous “learning periods” may well choke us to death. I’m talking about the $99 Trillion in unfunded future liabilities for SSI, and the Medicaid twins. I’m not sure we can survive those, I’m pretty sure we won’t survive whatever Socialist and Internationalist and Black Liberationist policies the Obamanation makes law.

But I still agree with you. It may well have to happen.

FDR (the greatest Socialist president ever) changed the USA without ammending the Constitution. Ronald Reagan did some great things but he utterly failed to reverse or roll back FDR’s welfare state.

We don’t live in the Republic, we live in the Hybrid of the New Deal. It’s bad, but it can get way worse. With Obama it will.

The repairs can only occur if the government defaults on it's self imposed obligations.

When the happens, if it happens as a result of Obama, then it will all be worth it to return to the Republic that we once had.

Just a thought.
