Molly Hatchett's Cover of the Allman's "Dreams I'll never See" is incredible.

Charile Daniels: Saddle Trap and Birmingham Blues....

Marshall Tucker, lordie my favorite from my high school days; "Desert Skies" and "I should have never started Loving you" not to mention "Take the Highway" and "24 hours at a time", live especially.

Blackfoot; "Highway Song".

Under-rated guitarist; John Daranza of the Elvin Bishop group.

under-rated Base Player: the heavy set fellow from the "Atlanta Rythm Section" whose name escapes me.

The best Southern Band no one had ever heard of:

A bunch of Conneticut guys who use to open up for all of the above at big venues in the North East: "Fountainhead"

How and why they never made the big time I'll never know. If you can find their music check out: "Stay Away", and "Pirates Life" which is a long anthem that got people going crazy.

The Allman's So many favorites I do not know where to start: It's Not My Cross to Bear, Midnight Rider, Melissa, Jessica, Ramblin' Man, Blue Sky, Hell and High Water......

Molly Hatchett’s version of Dreams I’ll Never See makes the Allman Brothers original unlistenable. They almost seem to transcend the physical limitations of the guitars themselves.
