Democrats Rank Carter and Gore as Favorites
RasMussen Reports ^ | August 25, 2008 | Rasmussen Reports

Ask Democrats which of their leaders they like (other than Barack and Hillary, of course) as they gather for their national convention in Denver, and Jimmy Carter and Al Gore lead the pack.

More Democrats have a Very Favorable opinion of Independent Senator Joe Lieberman than of the party's Senate Leader Harry Reid and up-and-comer Mark Warner, the former governor of Virginia now running for the Senate. But the Connecticut Democrat, the party's vice presidential nominee in 2000 who is now expected to speak at the Republican national convention next week, has much higher negatives.

..............

Fifty three percent of Democratic voters have a Very Favorable view of former president Carter versus only 7 percent (7%) who say their view of him is Very Unfavorable.

Al Gore, the party's unsuccessful presidential candidate in 2000 who has reinvented himself as the prophet of global warming, is held in Very Favorable regard by half of Democrats (50%) while only six percent (6%) see him in a Very Unfavorable light.

Carter and Gore: both completely whacked out! What a scewed up party it has to be to consider these two as icons.

Seems as if whoever wrote this can't make up his mind about whether Lieberman is a Democrat or an Independent.

I’d like to see Rasmussen ask in his next poll, What did Bari promise Hillary to get her to scream “uncle?” My guess is, “Sleepy” Ginburg’s seat on the Supreme Court.

Well, it would be 53% if you include Al in the poll.

Carter was a joke and 8 years ago we couldn’t hear enough of how AWESOME the Clintons were for America. Democrats didn’t lie, yadda yadda yadda.

I guess the kids are old enough to realize that Bubba was a louse and too young to know the Carter was a fool. The Left applauds his Saudi funded antisemitism today.

Carter is popular because he did the most to screw up America and help the Soviets.

Gore is probably popular because his global warming fear-mongering has given the RATs the next excuse to raise taxes, seize more power, and silence their opponents.

..."Sleepy" Ginsburg's seat on the Supreme Court.

Since "Sleepy" is not rumored to be heading for retirement - or is she? - it might have been the first seat that becomes open that was promised. It would really be a disgrace to the legal profession to put her on the SCOTUS with such a flimsy legal background (she seldom did anything more than shuffle papers and have cattle futures bought for her back in Arkansas), not to mention her history of radicalism. Fortunately, if "Osama" Obama is beaten as now seems somewhat probable, we won't have to worry about Her Royal Thighness on the SCOTUS.

If there was any doubt that today’s Democratic Party is a bunch of lunatics, this erases it.

Algore and Jimmeh both have Nobel Peace Prizes. Maybe that explains it...

Of course, higher rating than Harry Reid isn't much of a claim in the first place. ;') Odd that he's called "Connecticut Democrat", since he quit the party and ran as an independent in 2006. I guess the partisan shill who wrote the piece wanted everyone to forget about that. Thanks justiceseeker93.
