Police in Denver arrested an ABC News producer today as he and a camera crew were attempting to take pictures on a public sidewalk of Democratic Senators and VIP donors leaving a private meeting at the Brown Palace Hotel.
Police on the scene refused to tell ABC lawyers the charges against the producer, Asa Eslocker, who works with the ABC News investigative unit.
A cigar-smoking Denver police sergeant, accompanied by a team of five other officers, first put his hands on Eslocker's neck, then twisted the producers arm behind him to put on handcuffs.

A police state sometimes seems nice when they’re throttling your enemy.
what country are we in ?
Ha, doesn’t look to be but one other person out on the streets.
It’s only going to get worse...the anarchists are running around Denver like a freaking zoo.
This may be worth a ping to your ping list!
Man, I thought the “recreate 68” crew were limited to a couple of hundred morons. I didn’t realize that the Denver PD was looking forward to the cause as well.
Obamaland
The Hotel OWNS the sidewalk?!! That is truly novel.
These are KGB-style tactics. Mayor Daley is making an appearance, perhaps?
I take it you've never owned a home in area with sidewalks...
The property owner does own the sidewalks and is forced to pay for them to be put in, and for their replacement when they get old and crack.
They are built in a public right of way. That means that people have the right to cross your property on that sidewalk. It's not public property, it's private property on which a right of way is given for a specific purpose to the public.
That purpose is not to hang out and harass the property owners and their guests. The hotel is within it's rights to ask the reporter to move along, and if they don't call the police and have them arrested for trespassing if they refuse to move along.
I'm glad they got this on tape...most of the time this stuff happens it just the word of the arrestee vs. the cop.
Mafia Don, Obama, the fix is in, why so afraid of the truth?
Obama’s goon squad!.....
The cop needs his mouth washed out with lye soap...who did Hussein not want us to see??
Could it be that you have no idea who your enemy is, or what you're talking about?
Denver is a Mafia town, and you can bet that the PD is protecting their Capo. Papa will appreciate this, and reward them accordingly.
Why are most of the cops fata$$’s in this scene?
Only Chompy the Cigar king looks like he could keep up for the 1st block. I support LEOS but this is just being absurdly aggressive , more than they were to the Feces and piss crowd spray painting public buildings.Where were Potbelly and chompy then?
And after you do, do not disagree with his policy. You'll pay.
Wake up, you idiots.
You all hate Bush so much, but how many of you has he arrested for your vocal hatred of him? Huh?
Think, you idiots.
You don't understand property.
The surface rights in the dedicated road right of way are public property. The ajacent land owner owns the "Fee" but not the use of the surface. The maintenance of the hardscape is a separate matter, usually defined in the "Streets and Highways Code." If the owner wishes to do anything WRT his hardscape, he is obligated to first obtain an "Encroachment Permit" from the appropriate agency under the direction of the "Road Commissioner."
