Condi needs to show the clay she is made from by getting the Russians out of Georgia. Her leadership at State Dept has been less than reassuring. I hope but doubt she will prevail.
Not to mention her failures while security advisor role to Bush. Lots of people let him down in the first 6 years. He is too loyal to ever say that.
So you don’t think that it matters if she is pro choice? Our base will go nuts and the dems will have a field day. John McCain needs a strong conservative for VP because he is not.
Having said that, I would rather have Cantor or Mitt.
Alaska is far removed from the realities of the "real world," IMO--which I envy!
NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Anyone who thinks that giving money and weapons to the palistinians is OK, and actually believes them when they say they will not use the weapons on Israel, only to have them say a coupla months later they will use them on Israel, then gives them MORE, is either a complete buffoon, or a mental midget...Condi Rice is qualified to be a school teacher, and that is it..
Agreed, and "Insider" Kay has been under the radar for years. He needs -1 covariance, someone like Romney, an "outsider" with business experience.
Michael who? LOL! He coudn’t even get a black handshake while waiting in line to vote in PG country.
Hutchison is way too old and white—it would be the Aryan geriatric ticket.
I think I'll kind of miss it. ;-)
Palin showed a committment to her pro-life conservative principles by not bowing to the pressure to abort her mentally-challenged child. Rarely are one's convictions borne out by real-life circumstances, but Palin showed she's willing to live her beliefs.
With a son in the military, Palin will be keenly aware of how her military decisions or the decisions she influences as vice-president will affect the men and women serving in the armed forces. With a son in the military, Palin and her family will have to grit their teeth along with other military families, as their loved-ones carry out the orders associated with those difficult decisions.
At 44, Palin would offer a refreshing balance to the McCain ticket and nullify any advantage Obama would have with his youth...Palin would effectively neutralize the female factor. Furthermore, Palin has a likeable style and toughness that neither Hillary nor Obama can match.
The mere fact that KBH is from Texas would be enough for the 'Rats and their media buddies to make the GWB connection.
This election is McCain's to lose. And he's just the man who could do it.
That's what worries me. For a non-egomaniac with McCain's experience, this election would be a cake-walk. It's not for nothing that I call him McMeMeMe.
Granted they are two remarkable and accomplished women, but I just do not see them as being tough with our foes. The part of the world that we are dealing with and having the most trouble with just does not respect and will not take seriously a woman leader. Duncan Hunter would be an excellent choice but pander-gender politics is strangling this country./Just Asking - seoul62.....
Yes it does erase that fact...first I ever heard how old Mitt is. Peoples (the ones who watch TV) are visual image dependent
Mitt having black hair negates a lot for superficial voters and they are the fickle majority
From what I have seen, I like Palin. But in my view she is too green to be VP. However, considering that Obama was a comunity organizer before being nominated to be POTUS, she does have more executive management experience than the Dem. nominee!
Her voting record seems to belie a pro-abort stance. Could she be one of the few who vote the will of their constituents, regardless of personal feelings?
Right and right.
Rick Perry is in favor of it!!
I'm certainly not for Palin, either!
I agree with that, just wanted to clear the record on her pro-life voting. For those of us who know Kay, we know she is pro-life, not pro-abortion. She still acts too much like a DC insider on many things. Cornyn is heads and tails above her.
Arabs Russians and others laugh when we send them a Madeline Albright (moron) or a Condi Rice who is semi capable but intimidated by foreign thugs
