As did the GOP/RNC. They put all their efforts behind a McCain push, as well as other RINOS in last November's race when real conservatives were running against the RINOS. But this is typical GOP/RNC procedure... produce a candidate that will appeal to more centrist voters, possibly steal some liberals, and screw the base. Of course, they know and are counting on those of us whiners to hold our noses and pull the lever for McCain.
