Well said, patriot08. Anyone who believes that a vote for anyone but McCain is not a vote for Obama is just deluded. An Obama presidency is simply unthinkable. I am hard pressed to imagine a Marine "sitting out" a firefight, or shooting at trees while enemy soldiers advance against his buddies. No way!

And as flawed as McCain is on many Conservative issues, his consistent stand against Abortion has been stellar. His only fault is a commonly-shared misunderstanding of the adult vs. embryonic stem cell debate -- but an honest pro-lifer should come around when he sees the light on that issue. As another poster pointed out, Perfect is the greatest enemy of Good.

This is the only sentiment I see posted on FR as a reason to vote for McCain. It's a pretty weak argument.

And an illogical one. It assumes that my vote can be taken for granted by the RNC and that I want McAmnesty in office, tainting the word 'conservative' with all his liberal agendas. If the assumption was the I had to vote for Obama and wanted him in office, then my not voting for president would be seen as voting for Obama. Both are illogical and are based on the bias of the assumer.

He’s the only thing standing in the way of that monster getting into the White House. We’ve GOT to support him.
His stance on immigration is the only big thing I hold against him. Since I live in Texas, you can understand that.
But then Obama’s stance is WORSE.

Yeah, like when he told the San Frnacisco Chrnicle that he opposes overturning Roe v. Wade -- or when he votes time and time again for embryonic stem-cell research.

Yes, his position on abortion is better than Obama's, but so is Hillary Clinton's.
