It is his M.O. Do as little as possible, so as not to leave a traceable trail. Never let anyone know what you stand for or against. Remain an enigma. Smile nice, and give speeches full of hope.
He actually believes that the American people are so stupid they won’t notice. He also is smart enough to know that the Americian public is hungry for a black president.
I hope he is wrong, and the American public is not stupid; and I hope that McCain is smart enough to pick a black VP, so that Americans can vote for his ticket without feeling guilty.
These are facts. This is reality. Again, we MUST show up and Vote for McCain on Election day. We MUST. If we don’t, Obama will get elected, and some mistakes can not be corrected.
Do you agree with my assessment of Obama as being “Crazy Eddie”, based on this piece? *\:-)
Now I can read the article with clarity!
Relax! You may have seen the birth of the new “I’m a Baaaad American”! :-)
Obama was elevated to Editor of the Harvard Law Review for reasons nobody will say.
Obama won his first race in Chicago by disqualifying his opponent’s petitions.
Obama won his race for the Senate when somebody leaked his opponent’s sealed and salacious divorce proceedings.
Obama won his primary by having the same people vote in caucuses all over the country, over and over again. Otherwise, he would have lost to Hillary.
Obama had never won anything on the up-and-up. He will not win the Presidency, either.
That’s right she not just a stupid old woman she’s a witch or a monster with supernatural powers like making smaller numbers (of delegates) larger, or perhaps mind control. She’s giving a praise Bama speech but I suppose that doesn’t matter and a ridiculous last minute coup is still in order.
You’re welcome. Of course if I had read all the posts before sounding off I would have seen that it was mentioned up-thread. Oh well,
}:^D
That is a big possibility. I have not ruled out Hillary by any stretch.
Any dirt on Biden come out in the press today? I imagine she is trying to feed it to the RNC...and I hope they are smart enough to keep it to themselves.
Oh, Phil, absolutely!
LOL!
Doesn't have a point of view, knows not where he's going to. Obama is the Nowhere Man, devoid of any convictions.
Outstanding article.
(It's unfair and unethical to attribute such a fine article to somebody other than the actual author. May even be a violation of copyright law.)
Thank you for the change.
"You can't vote 'present' in the Oval Office."
That's what jumped out at me, too.The difference between the executive and legislative functions is precisely the continual need to make decisions. A legislator can get on a committee and become an expert on agriculture or defense or foreign policy. But there isn't a president there is the president - and he has to make decisions and live with the results.
And refusing to decide is a decision.

Excellent post, concur completely.Contrary to popular opinion, the Constitution is not written with a view to having a VP who is the second-most-qualified person to be POTUS. That was the original plan, clearly - but just as clearly the 12th Amendment has other objects in view - compatibility with the POTUS and an identity which helps unify the country:
The Electors shall meet in their respective States and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same State with themselves Twelfth AmendmentThe correct approach for McCain would be to point out the intent of the 12th Amendment, name a black man as his VP candidate, and make no bones about the fact that he was selected with an affirmative action criterion in mind. The black VP candidate will inevitably have less of a resume by far than Joe Biden, but in debate he can use that against the Obama-Biden ticket. It is only necessary for the VP candidate to admit candidly that he is less qualified than Biden, but more qualified as an executive than Obama (this is an exceedingly easy case to make - Obama has no executive experience at all). He could even admit, "if I have to take on the position of POTUS it might be a bit of a crap shoot whether I'd be a good president. It is much more of a crap shoot whether Obama would be a good president - but your party has named him to head your ticket. One thing we do know - the President of the United States doesn't get to vote 'present'."
"And another thing we know, the President of the United States must represent all the people in a positive, supportive way which brings out the best in us all. That goes for blacks in the inner city and throughout the country, and it equally goes for whites as well. I am in favor of black children growing up with the expectation that they are capable of success on equal terms - and I am in favor of whites being accorded the respect that they do deserve for the fact that they have accepted the need to accord blacks equal respect. The cultural smog of racism is dissipating. It is not gone, and those who are as old as you are, and Senator McCain is, will never live long enough to see that smog perfectly dissipated. But by now the main thing that keeps that smog alive is the refusal of some of the strongest advocates of equality to take yes for an answer. That can only result in a backlash, it can have no positive effect at all."
