Would it not, also, attract cash from wealthy Jews? One would think so.

Probably not, you're talking about bundlers, not individuals, and they're motivated by party/business considerations. They're not going to abandon the Dems because of a Jewish VP candidate. Nor IMO should they. Issues, that's another story.

A different issue, it is possible that Obama's associations and anti-Israel and antisemitic connections might cause some donors to simply "stay at home" this time around. But there's no indication that's happening, he's awash in cash.

Some of the RNC’s top contributors have been Jews. I know there’s been a few fundraisers around here lately.

So you recommend that we let the Marxist RATS set the agenda?

Funny, I don't remember saying that.

I’d be very happy with Cantor but I’m thinking Mac might choose a woman for VEEP.

Ouch. I wish you’d not posted that link. Now, I’m not as hyped-up for Cantor as I was. He did NOT do well against Chrissy “The Sissy” Matthews. I was very disappointed in his performance.

I can’t stand any politician who dodges answering a question be it Republican or Democrat. C’mon, Cantor; have some balls and tell “The Sissy” Matthews, or anybody else who asks you, where you stand.

O.K., now I’m back to pulling for Sarah Palin for VEEP.

From what I’ve seen, Cantor is also solid on guns and property rights!

Thanks for the ping — please let this be so.

“I like Cantor but it’s really not unusual that a practically unknown Congressman isn’t speaking.”

He’s the #2 man in the GOP House leadership, the only Jewish Republican in the House (and the McCain campaign’s go-to guy for the Jewish vote), and a solid spokesman for the McCain campaign; it would be shocking if he didn’t address the Convention. I’m not saying that he was left out of the schedule because he’ll be speaking at the VP spot, but that certainly seems to be a strong possibility.

It would be the best choice.
Even those genius “Mittens” would be on board.

I consider this a very, very good sign.

Dare we hope?

This would be great.

This Catholic voters would be honored to vote for a pro-life Jew over a pro-abortion CINO.

Another good aspect of picking Cantor.

He would be sitting in the cat bird seat if McCain chose to only serve one term.

On Intrade, Cantor is down to significantly, to 5%, not up.

I am an optomist until proven incorrect.

Romney’s negatives among conservatives -— right or wrong -— will cause some percentage of the base to stay home. Same for the Huckster.

Obama could use soundbites from either to great effect, just like McCain is using Hillary and Biden.

Cantor has no such baggage, is quick on his feet, and is a SOLID conservative.

Let’s hope McCain’s advisors read RedState, FreeRepublic, the Club for Growth endorsement, the various evangelical/life endorsements, etc.

McCain needs a enthusiastic on-the-ground base to get the vote out -— that’s us, and we want Cantor.

How did InTrade do on Biden?

InTrade is good for elections where you have a population sample invovled. Here, the voter is 1. Intrade is meaningless in that circumstance.

She wasn’t on the “short list” of vetted people.

The only person not speaking on the sample of vetted people is Cantor.

Obama could use sound-bites from either (Mitt/Huck) to great effect, just like McCain is using Hillary and Biden.

I don't think Mitt is the VP choice, just because of this reason. Since McCain is using this as ammo, it kinda disqualifies Mitt...or maybe it is just my wishful thinking.
