He's 20 years younger than Biden. My age born in 1962.

I just want reassurance that this guy won’t get crushed by Biden in a debate —

Believe me, he won't. He's one of the leaders in the ongoing GOP revolt in the House over the Rats' refusal to allow a vote for new oil exploration and drilling.

Even those genius "Mittens" would be on board.

Guilty on all three counts.

I am on board with Cantor. I am a "mitten." I am a genius.

Who knew that with such a seemingly igorant comment, you could be right on all three?

I used to live in his district (Virginia Seventh)...it’s mostly middle-class, stretching from the better Richmond suburbs (north, west, and southwest) all the way northwest to the east side of the Shenendoah Valley. The bulk of the ground area is rural or small-town, but I think the bulk of the people live in the Richmond burbs. There’s pockets of money here and there, but the majority of it is going to be middle-class, really.

Yes, but he’s also put in real time out in the real world. A nice mix of business and government service.

Here’s keeping fingers crossed and much prayer that Cantor is the pick. He’s the best one of the remaining guys on the short list.

Please, please, please........

What I like is if they peg him as so far right by his House voting record, it can just be pointed out that Barry and Joe are the first and third most leftist (when you’re left of Bernie Sanders you’ve orbited out of the sphere of mere ‘liberalism’) Senators.

I will add some more intrigue. Yesterday it was announced that Congresswoman Mary Fallin would be speaking on the night when Sen McCain speaks. This just happened and was announced yesterday afternoon. I thought that spot was going to Cantor BUT guess not!

BTW, Mary is considering running for Governor and this will help her a lot. We could sure use Mary in Oklahoma as our Governor. Also a slap a Cong Cole who heads the NRCC and told the Congressman running for office to boycott the RNC Convention. I have a Fallin for Congress on my car with a McCain sticker and I live in the Cole district if that tells you something.

For pro-lifers: Cantor got a great big goose egg rating from NARAL in 2004, 2005, 2006, _and_ 2007. :-)

Do not fear Cantor’s faith being a problem - in fact, with the MSM it would guarantee McCain better treatment and coverage

Or it would just be an opportunity for them to continue ignore the rabid anti-semitism which continues to be displayed by the Obama supporters, as evidenced on his website.

Think they are up in arms now, just wait and see what they do if Cantor is the pick.

They would be frothing at the mouth and all of Obamas Farrakhan and Reverend Wright buddies would be out in the streets.

Or McCain could just pick MYTH FLIP WILLARD RINO ROMNEY and piss off a lot of conservatives instead.

Looks like a no brainer.

Exactly unlike Biden. McCain needs someone who hasn't spent their entire lives in government. McCain has 40 years plus of government experience so a political hack pick wouldn't really energize the GOP ticket.

Cantor opposed amnesty and was an early member of the House Immigration Reform Caucus under Tancredo.

Your comments aside, I like Mitt too but it is very interesting that choosing a Jew might cause fewer headaches for McCain with evangelicals than choosing a Mormon.

And, as we both indicate, a Jewish VP brings other political attributes to the table.

As long as this guy can debate Biden and not be intimidated, I’m fine. We don’t want another Bentsen-Quayle ordeal.
