Fox News Alert
MAJOR problem with national air traffic...specifically flight plan system....All air traffic halted, nationally.
Excellent question.
Just saw 2 commercial aircraft on eastern LAX approach. But only 2 in the past 25 minutes. Generally they are 1 per minute.
Nothing on the Cable News show. Just blabbing about Hillary tonight, etc.
Pls move to BREAKING
Why would the FAA keep its data systems on links that the public could get at....?
Air Force Academy usually has several small training planes up if the weather is good. I don’t see any now.
:)Good.
Of interest. :)
San Antonio is also quiet. I have a direct view of the landing approach, and its been empty for quite a while.
anyone can add “breaking” to the list of topics at the top of a thread. It was there before and it was removed. My guess is because there’s no news backing this up.. just anecdotal evidence of planes not in flight paths and various early reports that have gone undiscussed.
Thanks, fatima. There’s always someone of my 8 kids or 14 grandkids flying somewhere!
On Sat., a daughter is supposed to leave on a long-awaited trip to Hawaii. Let’s hope this “glitch” is taken care of by then!!
“Why would the FAA keep its data systems on links that the public could get at....?”
The incidents at the DOD this year should have taught us all better. No system is hack-proof.
An hour ago CNN was doing a live stream on their site, so I thought that meant it was BREAKING. ??
I understand you, and I appreciate it. Just don’t understand the mods.
Not on political coverage.
It's hugh and series. I'm going to take a shower now.
Am on the plane now but the captain does not know when we will get clearance to take off. Some flights are leaving O’Hare now.
I realize that....why haven’t we learned to create isolated data links and allow no public linkage from the public web at large? Is it that we still want some bureaucrat to be able to crawl out of bed at 3am and find out how his radar systems are working from his home computer with internet provided by cox or comcast?(a captain obvious answer of course...just venting my spleen!)
