As he watched the first night of his Democratic National Convention from the cozy living room of local supporters Jim and Alicia Girardeau, Sen. Barack Obama undoubtedly wanted his wife, Michelle Obama, the headline speaker Monday, to be the news-making highlight of the day. But vocal protestors, the media and a few complicated egos directed the public's attention earlier in the day to his primary rival, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y.
As frustrated Democrats converged on Denver yesterday, some began chanting "caucus fraud," while others shouted the word "sweetie," a reference to the time Obama called a female reporter by the same name. One Clinton supporter who spoke to ABC News said Obama couldn't be trusted. Another said, "He's shifty and untrustworthy." It was assuredly not the kind of message Obama and his diligently image-conscious team were counting on at the Democratic National Convention.

“Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.”
Hillary’s broads are tougher than Barry Hussein will ever be.
If Obama cant even unite his own party, how can he unite the world and achieve world peace?
The Hillary delegates know what time it is. It’s losing time with this ticket. Obama should have chosen Hillary for VP in their eyes.
If Barack can't handle an angry dissenter in his own party... what's he gonna do when Iran comes knocking?
Normal, everyday people are making jokes about Osama’s manliness. One not so bad one is Extendease [sp] and electron microscope...
Wow....
I don’t care how these delegates do their little “dog and pony” show to show how much they are behind Obama.
I would be willing to bet right now if you polled all of the delegates and asked them right now who they would vote for, it would be Hillary by probably 80% to 20%.
The Rats have ‘buyer’s remorse’ big time!
Bettter send out for more beer and munchies.
Speaking of "unity"... Obama had the most liberal voting record in the Senate in 2007. That makes him a strident partisan. How can a devoted partisan unite America?
I am with you, I believe she would out poll Obama.
The way I see it, John McCain should nominate a female and take the entire country! Seems we have a huge number of ladies that are really ticked off.
Obama can’t unify the Democrats and run a convention and he wants to unify America and run it???......Puh_leeeeez.
“Speaking of “unity”... Obama had the most liberal voting record in the Senate in 2007. That makes him a strident partisan. How can a devoted partisan unite America?”
And Biden is ranked third.
Good choice!
If McCain picks a woman like Liddy Dole, it’s all over.
Of course the Republicans have the same potential problem — RINOs vs. conservatives.
As for the statement, Obama should have chosen Hillary for VP in their eyes, he probably already decided he didn't care to win the election only to loose his life once in office.
P U M A
The news media is treating Michelle Obama’s speech as the highlight of the night. I never saw this kind of veneration for Laura Bush.
