The Obamas and the DNC are wrong about the American Dream.

The American Dream is that if you work hard, and persist, you can achieve great things.

Their American Dream seems to be centered on what you can get for free in America. Look at all that’s been given to the Obamas out of all proportion to their efforts and accomplishments.

The America dream also has to do with upward mobility. If you work hard, your kids can have a better life/standard of living than you had. It’s been a hallmark of American life that each generation has a better standard of living than the last. I think that’s what Michelle’s story was supposed to convey. Of course, their policies are all about giveaways and class envy, but the story she told was about grit and work and faith.

The politics is about class envy and what I can get from the state. There's nothing about faith, family and country in the message. No celebration of God, no honoring mother and father and no praise for American exceptionalism. Those are the things that made America a great country but that's not how the Democrats look at this land. Its not about what you can do for your country, as John F. Kennedy once exhorted an earlier generation's call to arms but rather what your government can do for you! That is the entire theme of "hope and change" for them.
