I’d like to take this time to remind the local politicians of New Orleans & the rest of Southern Louisiana the following hurricane tips:

1. Please park the buses that will be used in an evacuation in elevated area and in an area that is NOT in a flood zone.

2. It appears that giving many of your citizens 5 days notice that a killer hurricane is not enough notice. Therefore all attempts should be given to give them at least 7 days notice. I know this still may not be enough time either and you can still blame the Bush Administration for lack of early notification.

3. If your area does flood don’t just stand there waiting for someone to come help you. Take a look at how your neighbors to the north handled their flooding earlier this year and get off your ass and throw sand-bags or help your next door neighbor.

4. Since none of you will listen to the first 3 tips please secure an axe so your can bust thru your roof from your attic. Also- purchase a large bed sheet and a spray can so you can spray paint “SAVE US” on it and wave it in front of CNN & MSNBC’s cameras for all of us to see.

I would seriously considering moving people out of the Gulf Coast area from Pensacola, FL all the way west to Galveston, TX within the next 2-3 days immediately. If the waters in the Gulf of Mexico are warm any landfall of Gustav could reach at least Category 4 level, which can cause huge amounts of damage.
