We are not going to fight Russia over "Transdniestria", but let's recognize Russia for the bully that it is.

Yes we are going to take Russia down before she becomes the bully of the world.
Some of us have always known she was supporting separatist movements all over the former USSR.

Actually I had to look it up...He's supposed to be from the fictional "Latveria".
Eh...Moldova...Latveria...it was bound to be one of those lozenge sized countries on the map.

Several years ago, Moldova rejected a similar deal under a strong pressure from NATO. But now Voronin appears to treat the Russian mediation more favorably. The Moldovan leader told Medvedev he had indeed learned the lesson: "Thank God, during all these years...we had enough brains and reserve not to allow a similar deterioration of situation."Moldova is not Poland.

FDR and his Uncle Joe placed some 100 million
people under the yoke of Communism.
They raped these people of most of their assets
and still want to rape them.

Transdniestria is on the western border of Ukraine. With Russia to Ukraine's East, and Russian occupation forces to Ukraine's west in Transdniester, Russia has Ukraine surrounded.

Mad Vlad is ready to resurrect the EVIL EMPIRE he loyally served all his life.
To: MarMema
Voronin is a communist so he see things the Kremlin’s way.
To: reaganaut1
Odd.
Maps indicate that Transdniestria
does not have a border with Russia.
It is landlocked between Moldova and Ukraine.

-cobbled together from several wikipedia articles-:
Romania has been a member of NATO since 2004.
Moldova and Ukraine both joined NATO’s “Partnership for Peace” in 1994.
Ukraine’s military is the second largest in Europe, second only to that of Russia.
Individual Partnership Action Plans (IPAPs) were launched by NATO at the
2002 Prague Summit and are open to countries that have the political will
and ability to deepen their relationship with NATO. Currently IPAPs
are in implementation with the following countries:
Georgia (29 October 2004)
Azerbaijan (27 May 2005)
Armenia (16 December 2005)
Ukraine (9 July 1997)
Moldova (19 May 2006)
Bosnia and Herzegovina (10 January 2008)

The hair on the back of my neck stands up
when I think about how badly russia wants ukraine back.
I would not be surprised to see them try to pick a fight there.
The only relief is knowing that if I am thinking about this,
so are others who can make appropriate preparations.
I therefore expect Ukraine to get the “fast track” into NATO.
To: HuntsvilleTxVeteran
Yup.
Uncle Joe had a friend indeed in that commie-loving s.o.b. FDR.
What a different kind of person from his relative Teddy Roosevelt FDR was. A real commie dupe.

We better move fast on getting the NATO shield on Ukraine.
If not, the Evil EMpire is back - on petroleum laced steroids.
We can thank the triad of the worst three presidents in American history in a row to afflict us - GB I, Clinton and GB II - for this mess with Russia and for allowing Putin to take over there.
