Barring the unfortunate, children have a right to a mother and a father.
I agree with the underlying premise, but I do think there are some loving single men or women who by themselves can make a good foster parent or adoptive parent. I also feel there are gay people who could probably be pretty good parents, but, I’m willing to sacrifice these for not allowing the gay parenting door open wide.
These laws will very quickly be overturned by liberal courts that say that it is unconstitutional to ban these types from adoption.
It is extremely unfortunate, and sad, that there is even a need to legislate something that is common sense, yet here we are.
Well said. I’d take any good person as a parent when considering many of the married couples in my town. Being married and straight isn’t a resume IMHO. I’ve got many friends of all sort who would be excellent parents if they had the opportunity.
I think parents ought to be able to register with the state their opposition to certain types of adoption, such as adoption by gays and unmarrieds, but I’d have qualms about the *state* banning such adoptions if it meant more kids stayed in institutions or foster homes.
I will admit that I don’t trust two guys who say they are “gay” to adopt either a boy or a girl.
While I somewhat support this, I’m not confident it will survive a legal challenge.
I don’t trust the judgement of people who refer to homosexuals
as “faggots”.
Is it important that trust my judgment? Trust your own judgment, don’t try and rationalize my dislike of a system that puts young impressionable minds in the hands of sick and perverted individuals that have little or no regard for their own safety let alone the safety of the innocent.
I’m not part of the PC crowd so excuse my French! (ò¿ó)
