A number of Sen. Hillary Clinton's top advisers will not be staying in Denver long enough to hear Barack Obama accept the nomination for president, according to sources familiar with their schedules.
Clinton will deliver her speech Tuesday night. She will hold a private meeting with her top financial supporters Wednesday at noon, and will thank her delegates at an event that afternoon. Former president Bill Clinton will speak that night. Several of Hillary Clinton's supporters are then planning to leave town. Among them, Terry McAuliffe, Clinton's campaign chairman, and longtime supporters Steve Rattner and Maureen White. Another of Clinton's top New York fundraisers, Alan Patricof, did not make the trip to Denver.
Robert Zimmerman, a Clinton supporter who is trying now to navigate between the two camps, will be staying for Obama's speech. But he said in an interview that it would be unrealistic to expect there would not still be some tension between the two camps -- he noted that the same was true with supporters of Gary Hart and, to a lesser extent, Howard Dean.

I guess that means these folks are leaving early to get to work getting Obama elected.
Sure they are.
So much for unity.
This is what happens when you let the likes of Howard Dean be the the steward of a party.
UNITY!! :-D
“Howard Dean” - “caffeine” = “Joe Biden”
I just saw Carville on CNN and he was very blunt about his displeasure with the Obama campaign and their handling of both Clintons. He was visibly angry and he did not hold back. Me thinks trouble is a brewing.
The “Take back the White House 2012” campaign begins Friday morning...
Bob Dylan's gonna be there?

Right On!
Sadly, it’s starting to look like their will not be a Hillary delegate uprising.
If they are leaving town, then that would mean that HRC has no hopes of stealing the nomination.
I guess the super delegates didn’t have the stomach for a floor fight.
Good thingi didn’t buy all that popcorn!
Well, what I meant was that McAuliffe and Carville would start that campaign for Hillary on Friday...
I hope you folks are correct. But I think the Clintons will be blamed by Dems if the party splits so publicly, so in my view it would not help her chances at 2012 to so brazenly oppose Obama. I think they'll put forth enough of a front to protect themselves, so that if Obama wins they can take credit (as the Clintons always do), and if he loses they can shirk the blame (as the Clintons always do).
I don't expect the fireworks at the Dem convention that many here are hoping and praying for. I think they'll kiss and make up enough to survive the convention. But I will admit I've already seen more public fighting between the two camps than I expected.
Maybe they are getting out of town before the Hillary voters’ riot in Denver.
Oh, I don’t think Hillary causes a public split in the party. She just starts lining up her peeps for the next round. She’ll play a good game, but not be disappointed when Barack loses.
Get your popcorns ready ;-)
And more family trouble for Obama: Texas GOP has a TV ad out on the “houses” angle that shows Barack’s brother George at his shack in Kenya. It’s the best ad yet. Little Green Footballs has it.
Not so, not so at all! You had better put in an order for a LARGE bag. We still have two more months of this comedy. Then we have the recounts and all that they entail. Shucks, it could last right up till the 20th of January. On second thought, you may want to consider two large bags.
LOL.....enjoying watching her supporters just seething with anger.
The punk is not a happy camper. Too bad!
Even the Clinton’s recognize a sinking ship when they see one. It’s best to create some distance from this Titanic as it approaches the iceberg.
