I used to use V-downloader.
But I’m having trouble converting files with it.
I can get them to my desktop but thats as far as it goes.
I bought Divx and I love it. If you’re looking to upload
a video Divx is recommended by youtube.

That’s a fair enough reply, but it’s nice to talk to people who may already have vetted these programs and weeded out those Google hits which point to programs with embedded spyware or the like.

I agree.
There’s lots of programs out there and choosing 1 from the millions of google hits can be a challenge.

Are you trying to convert them from .flv format? If so,
Cinemaforge works OK. Otherwise try keepvid.com, you can download mp4's directly with no need to convert.

www.vixy.net - Paste in the Youtube link and it will convert the .flv format file (youtube video) into a format you can download and save.

I think Vdownloader is an all in one thing.
It downloads and then converts.
But it stops at the converting point...
and it leaves the unconverted file on my desktop.
And it has no extension. So I’m not sure if it’s flv or what.
