I don't have a clue about NYC laws. I'm an avid archer and bow hunter. We have an archery range out to 70 yards behind our home and a rifle and pistol range as well. I shoot my carry gun at least twice a week right out my back door. My 13 year old son can hit your base ball cap with his bow at over 40 yards. He shoots all the tournaments that we can haul him to. One of the things they do to make it interesting is hang dollar bills on targets at thirty yards and if they hit them they get to keep them. He cleans up.
The folks in NYC would have a coronary around here.
