not sure about Michelle’s scores (probably a typical affirmative action performance), but Barack’s grades at Harvard Law were in the top 10% of his class. As someone who attends a top law school right now with similar grades, I can tell you that it’s no small feat, especially with the blind grading policy. With each course, you have to start from scratch and prove yourself all over again - you can’t build any capital with professors to get a wink and a nod over time.
