It is present down there (Sabine Parish) but too deep for now. It may one day be commercial.

Actually the “pay-dirt”,;0),is only 11,000 to 11,500 ft.

Just above that shale layer they can turn the bit 90 degrees

and bore horizonal for up to 6,000 ft. (12 per well),,,

They hydrofrac these laterals with clean water to

release the gas into the vertical bore,,,

The Cajun Express,deep driller, does this out in the Gulf,

7 miles down,,,

Northern Sabine Parish is around 13,000’ and southern is about 17,000’. Shell and Encana well in Section 26, 5N - 12W has Haynesville at 14,000’; completed this spring and is waiting on a gas plant.
