I would recommend seeing a signed and sealed copy of a certificate from the college. This is exactly what is sitting in Obama’s office and exactly what factcheck studied and photographed.

To repeat, with some bolding added and typos fixed:
In this case I have an applicant who claims he presented a legitimate copy of his MBA degree, and his CPA certificate, but he only allowed his employment agent to see them, and only gave me a medium resolution jpeg file by email. I tried calling the college and the CPA accrediting agency to validate the certs but they both say that they can only reply to the certificate holder himself. And he says that for personal reasons he cannot do so, and that because his agent says all is kosher and has provided an image file that sort of looks okay -- that's good enough.
To which you replied:

So as I understand, that although I contacted the college and they refused to confirm the certification or supply any other details as to the applicants record at the school, and the applicant and his employment agent both refuse to provide the actual stamped copy of his certificate (in a sealed and stamped envelope from the school), I should accept a funky looking jpeg file as perfect credentials?

Do I have that right?
