On Friday night, the U.S. team entered the political fray again by choosing archer Khatuna Lorig, who was born in what is now the country of Georgia, to be the U.S. flag bearer in Sunday's closing ceremony.

Now if we could get other countries to be led by athletes from Tibet & Mongolia the CHICOM's would choke on tier Little Red Book

They have a better chance of getting home alive by picking the Georgian native.

Apparently, the athletic departments of the universities have not yet been taken over by Marxists.

Do you know if there were any members of the US Team that are of Mongolia or Tibetan descent were overlooked?

I could not agree more.
After watching the Olympics I am proud of the U.S. teams and the wonderful ambassadors of hope, integrity and love of Country that they displayed in Beijing.
It’s rather sickening to see such posts that I’ve seen here putting these young people down for who they selected to represent them at the closing ceremonies.
To choose someone from Georgia was outstanding.
I am praising them, not condemning them for a wise choice.
WAY TO GO TEAM USA! WE ARE PROUD OF YOU ALL. YOU ARE ALL WINNERS.

It was a wonderful choice. Gives you a sense that through all the garbage these young folks have endured in government schools and commie media their whole lives...they can still recognize TRUTH, JUSTICE, and THE AMERICAN WAY !!

That was a cool idea. The US and Georgia are supposedly allies. Nato and the US played too coy with the Russians. Russians will forever have an inferiority complex and continually try to bully ex prisoner countries. I don’t like political moves at the Olympics generally, but this is a well thought out tackful move.
To: shuckmaster
Do we have anyone on the U.S. team that was born in Tibet?
To: shuckmaster
I guess folks like you will find fault no matter what.

Agreed. What a maroon.
The question is now whether the MSM will cover it or cower to the wishes of the CHICOMs
(Like we don’t know the answer to THAT)
To: PurpleMan
Business will be back to normal as soon as the last western media outlet pulls out of China tomorrow morning. They have a list ready to go against all of those who acted up prior to and during the Olympics.
