[Over the years Virginia Beach and Norfolk Virginia have discussed “light rail” .]

Did not Virginians elect liberals to their Congress and political offices as the state moves left? Are they not suffering the consequences of the political powers that be? If so, do they really have a right to complain for the representitives choices they elected to represent their interests in the State buildings?
You know the answer.

This debacle has unfolded over the past 30+ years. It's not the result of any single 'liberal' agenda or 'liberal' politician(s). No, a clustrf*** of this magnitude took the work of many conservative administrations as well.

Funding for roads in VA is a hot topic.

For example, administrations of both parties haven't done jack to maintain the roads and bridges.

These stories are one of the transportation issues effecting this area.

Fwiw, 25 years ago, I would use the Jordan Bridge every day in my commute. The bridge was rickety then, I can only imagine what it's like now.
