I had really expected (and feared) it would be Bayh.. At least that would bring something to the table, possibly Indiana..
Instead he managed to scrape the bottom of the barrel, almost as bad as Kerry.
I thought Bayh would be a good pick, McCaskill even better. But Webb would have been a great pick. He was Reagan’s Navy Sec, and he and McCain would go toe to toe. The MSM would eat it up, and he would get enough votes in VA, MO, AR and places like that to put him over the top.
