OMG how funny. I live in his district. He’s to the right of Obama and has a strong record supporting the military (Fort Hood is in his district. On reflection maybe not such a bad pick — gives Obama a chance of putting delegate rich Texas in his column and pulling some military votes.

Hopefully the military vote would be too dumbfounded by the stuff Obama says to notice Chet.

Despite John Kerry’s assessment, the military is not full of chumps. This will have no significant effect.

VP selections are not that important and there is no way it will flip Texas.

Fort Hood is in his district.

Close but not quite. I live about a mile from Ft. Hood, and he's not my Congress Critter. See map in my previous post. Ft. Hood is mostly in Coryell county, but with most of the Cantonment areas in Bell county.

His district does include Crawford though, so he is the President's Congressman.

My Congressman, and the one who's district does include Ft. Hood. is Republican John Carter, of Texas' 31st District.

Ft Hood is NOT in his district, That’s in Carter’s district now. His “support” for the military is just as a tax-payer-sucking leech who earmarks and pork-barrells everything he can and then takes the glory for it. Phoeey on that and I hope you are not fooled by that tax-and-spend shill and slimy politician. Chet Edwards represents everything that is wrong with politics.

Edwards gets direct money from Pelosi and has banked millions from liberal special interests. He does their bidding on all issues he can and sneaks in a few ‘conservative’ votes to fool the voters.
He is actually BAD on gun rights but even freepers spread the misinformation that he is good. No he’s not.

Chet Edwards is horrible on taxes and spending.

Maybe he is not a leftist as Obama but only because of what he does to survive in office. He is a prime reason for term limits.
