Airline food has been nasty for several years ago. I have no problem with this. Eat at the terminal before you board the plane.

Go Greyhound - You’ll come out a head.

I used to do computer field service at a place at Logan Airport that makes and puts together the food trays for the Airlines.
After experiencing that place i will never eat airline food again, Free or not.

You can’t bring water on board and they give you a small cup every few hours after you remind them a few times. The TSA nazis check your grandmother’s underwear and take your laptop. If you say anything you can be arrested.
Why the hell would I want to fly ever again?

Lame, but I would say I would be OK with paying out of pocket for a high quality meal.

It’s an enormous pleasure never to have to fly again. I heartily recommend enjoying a clean, nonpolluting flight-free lifestyle.

I see people bringing food on board all the time. Has this changed recently?

I take my own miniatures onboard. 95 cents versus 5 bucks.

I see people bringing food on board all the time. Has this changed recently?I don't know. I really do follow my own advice and don't fly commercial. Someone else here commented on this, perhaps they know.
I do know that liquids had been banned, but suspect that might have been changed, recently.

We flew LA to Atlanta several times on Delta. No food starting about two years ago. Everyone has those small pizzas or salads, burgers etc. I have seen it on many airlines since. In fact, I can't remember a time when I didn';t see somebody on a flight eating food they brought with them.
Liquids are allowed if they were purchased inside the security zone.
New trend carry an empty plastic bottle and fill it with water by the gate. One story recently about a guy who was stopped bringing water on the plane.

I used to fly United a lot on business. Then my company switched to Continental as the preferred carrier. The difference was like night and day. My own experience on domestics from best to worst:
Continental
Southwest
Delta
Northwest
American
US Air
United

Oh?
Can you do that?
Will they give you a lowball glass and some ice?
