It’s Biden Time

Andrew Mitchell reported tonight on Hardball that Joe Biden’s family members have been arriving at his Delaware home throughout the day, and that the senator from Delaware, who has spent the last few days joking with the reporters surrounding his home and bringing them bagels, has basically refused to say a word to the press today.

In other words, it’s Biden time.

This shouldn’t be surprising. The situation in Georgia pretty much necessitated a foreign policy heavyweight on the Democratic ticket. Biden was the natural choice given his street cred on the issue, as well as his Catholicism and proximity to Pennsylvania.

Another reason for Biden -- he has nothing to lose. Someone like Kaine or Bayh is not going to throw away a promising political career to go down with the sinking S.S. Obama.

But what does Biden care?

If Obama is worried enough about keeping Pennsylvania to the point it influenced his decision to put Biden on the ticket, that is very good news indeed.

I know people are saying Biden is a safe choice, but I see him as more of a wild card. He will definitely attack McCain, and that could help the RAT ticket, but you never know when Biden is going to say something completely screwy that could undermine the ticket.

Overall, I would be very pleased if this does indeed turn out to be the choice.

Only problem for the Demagogues: Biden is a lightweight, on foreign policy and everything else.

As the old saying goes, “You can have 30 years of experience or you can have one year of experience 30 times”

I see no evidence that Biden has ever learned much or accomplished much, he is simply a pompous blowhard.

It will not surprise me if Obambi does pick him, but I doubt that he’ll really add strength to the ticket when crunch time comes.

Are they really that incredibly stupid to think that Catholics or Pennsylvanians would give a damn that it's Biden??!
