During World War II, the Russians kept some American B-29’s that had emergency landed in Russia. Saved them a lot of time and money in R & D. Thieving communists. Nothing new.

The Royal Navy loaned the Soviet Union the battleship
HMS Royal Sovereign in 1944 and when the Reds returned it in 1949, each and every gun was loaded and cocked, plus there was human excrement spread all over the decks and bulkheads.
Russian will always be Russians and don't expect the Hummers back in any kind of decent condition if at all!

The Serbs didn't give back the Humvee that they captured back in 1999. To the Russians it is simply spoils of conflict.
