He is not in trouble because these lunacy issues that TexasDarlin or others are bringing. He is in trouble because he is a socialist and a defeatist and hence he cannot win the elections without the all-out aid of the media (which he has), massive vote fraud (which he will get), and a poorly run McCain campaign (which he had, until two weeks ago).

What I have never heard from these "BO was not born in the United States" people, is any explnation of the mechanics of just how and why BO's parents went to Kenya just before he was born, and returned just after he was born, all without anyone noticing. Is his dad supposes to have dropped a small fortune for airfare for two and flown himself and BO's mother to Kenya? How did you do that in the early 1960s? They could have flown BOAC (British Overseas Air Corporation) from Honolulu to Tokyo, Hong Kong, Indochina, India, and then taken a twice a week flight to Kenya. On a DC3. With a nine months pregnant woman. So she could meet his other wives, and deliver his child (they did not know it would be a boy) under Third World conditions. And then fly back, at great cost (this was before the day of cheap tickets on the internet Freepers), in time to place a fake birth notice in a Honolulu newspaper, so the boy (as it turned out to be) could run for President in half a century.

That doesn't even make good nonsense.

Claiming BO was born overseas, and that his original birth certificate, or wahtever, is going to turn up and get him off the ballot, is just like the photo of Bill Clinton burning an American Flag at a demonstration in England that was always, just any day now, going to surface in 1992 and 1996, and torpedo Slick's election. Didn't happen then, and it aint' gonna happen now. Waiting for it, and hoping for it, just distrcts from needs to be done, get McCain elected.

Yeah, I agree, that computer generated "Certificate of Live Birth" is not the 1961 (or 62 or whatever) original birth certificate. So what. The guy was adopted. Twice. In Texas, his adoptive parents could have had his original brith certificate destroyed, and a new one issued.

I'm not trying to 'sell' this issue to anyone, but the argument is not that he went to Kenya. What I've seen argued is that there is evidence his mother was in Seattle a few days after he was born, and there is a birth certificate with what might be his name (using another combination of all the names he's used in his life) from Vancouver dated a few days earlier.

So it's possible - per that line of argument - that he was born in Canada instead of Hawaii.

And yes, the argument as I put it above is fairly loose. That's why I'm not trying to sell it. However, your comment assumed he had to go to Kenya to be born outside the US. That's not really required.

At the least, it does provide a plausible disqualification, and provides significance to the issue of why he won't provide authorization for anyone who wants to get a certified copy of his birth certificate to get one. What is he hiding?

I don't buy the smoke=fire accusation, but it would be so much easier for him just to authorize the release of an official birth certificate, that one has to wonder why he won't.
