Youtube uses software to scan videos for copyrighted music.

I didn't even know such a thing existed. Wow.

Shazam Software makes an application for the iPhone where you can hold your iPhone up in a bar or dance club or where ever, and the software will tell you what song is playing.

An AT and T software evaluator I know was telling me it's correct about 9 out of 10 times.

Being a programmer I know exactly how the program works, but it's still pretty impressive to me....impressive enough that it was the first time I took an interest in the iPhone.

Apparently there's a smart phone version by a different company but my friend was telling me that when AT and T evaluated it, they found it was no where near as accurate as the Shazam iPhone application.
