Most “young voters” have the attention span of an ameoba. Folks, it’s only August and the election is about 75 days away.
Students are going back to college to enjoy their regular routines. Therefore, most will “forget” to vote.
Which is why I find it humorous that Democrats depend on them so much. OTOH, when I was in college, I did vote (absentee).
Hope for todays youth yet.
I just heard the Speaker of the House on CNN trashing the polls because they are likely voters. Said the old model should be thrown out because Obama is going to attrack first time voters, yadda yadda yadda.
Been a good couple of days for McCain.
Both my kids (daughter is 21, son is 25) vote Republican.
My daughter is fairly involved in politics, and is a senior at Colorado State in Pueblo.
My son dislikes politics... but he hates taxes more.
I missed that - When was this?
Its called change and it looks like its headed right at obamaramadingdong.
I bet he got a trophy for showing up.
I think young people are more consumer savy.
They know a slick salesman when they see one.
Obama is the used car salesman who is trying to sell us a slightly pre-owned left-wing delux. He is guaranteeing it will take us to the gates of paradise just sign on the dotted line.
The problem for him is that with all the BS television sales kids have absorbed, they are near immune to long term exposure to this old sales trick.
Audacity of Hope this time
Man from Hope Last time (clinton)
Trust me (carter)
all the last democrat mantras of sales promises that never delivered.
Pre- or post- points wealth “fair and just” redistribution?
Yep. The yute vote always suffers from limited attention spans of youngsters.
Either that or the 57 states he referred to.
“Which is why I find it humorous that Democrats depend on them so much. OTOH, when I was in college, I did vote (absentee).”
I didn’t vote until I started making real good money out of college and got pizzed at the taxes they were taking out of it. I was a registered Dem at the time but I didn’t know any better. I quickly became aware from then on...:)
Can somebody photoshop Hillary’s head in place of that bowling ball that actually looks like Hillary’s head?...that would be hillarious!
Another thing that is happening, for all the Obama hype....he comes across as a dork. He doesn’t have the coolness factor. He sounds more like the college kids’ boring professor than anything else.
Even his “great oratory” is simply a bad copy of black preacher delivery. Heck, Huckabee, Bill Clinton and Father P in Chicago are better at it than him.
