He has ALWAYS been boring! The excitement was self-induced by the crowd.

I am telling you guys, he is the Pet Rock of politics. You remember the Pet Rock don’t you? First EVERYONE had to have them, and thought they were hysterically funny. Everyone had one on his/her desk.

Then they were sort of ignored, sitting on the desk next to the used coffee cup and the paper clip tray.

Finally, they were shoved to the back of a desk drawer or thrown away, and people said to themselves, “What was I thinking? I paid good money for a rock in a box!”
