Toby Keith Praises Obama
Tuesday, August 19, 2008 5:30 PM
LOS ANGELES -- Barack Obama is getting praise from Nashville, courtesy of one big, patriotic country star.
Toby Keith, perhaps best known to non-country audiences for his post-Sept. 11 song "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue," says he's a Democrat, and was impressed by the senator from Illinois.

Key quote from Toby: "So as far as leadership and patriotism goes, I think it's really important that those things have to take place. And I think he's the best Democratic candidate we've had since Bill Clinton. And that's coming from a Democrat."
Did he smoke too much pot with Willie or something?

Under Sen. Obama, Keith’s famous line would be, “We’ll put a soft pillow under your ass...”

TK has always been a Dem. To my knowledge, he’s not loading his concerts with Obama crap, so I don’t mind.
Everyone is wrong sometimes.

The hell with Willie and his ‘herbal medicine’! Toby just made a movie with Ted Nugent! Not only that, this movie is about to be released (”Beer for My Horses”). Uncle Ted will not be pleased that the star of a movie he’s about to be seen in will be making such an idiot statement.
I think the Nuge is about to put on his war paint and head out to track down Mr. Keith and “re-educate” him.

We don’t pay him for his intellect, but for his voice. I can’t boycott his music as I don’t buy country CDs anyway—country is just on in the car, to horrify my neighbors. But at least now we know that Toby is no smarter than the average performer, which isn’t saying much.

He's 'covering his ass' after what he said on Glenn Beck:
During Keith's appearance on the July 30 broadcast of Beck's show, he remarked,
"I think the black people would say he [Obama] don't talk, act or carry himself as a black person."
"What does that even mean?" the audibly shocked Beck replied.
"Well, I don't know what that means," Keith drawled,
"but I think that that's what they would say.
Even though the black society would pull for him I still think
that they think in the back of their mind that the only reason he is in
[the general election] is because he talks, acts and carries himself as a Caucasian."

What you are witnessing before your very eyes is the melt-down of another dufus entertainer as he sucks up to the party that is the antithesis of his natural fan base.

If I got bent out of shape over the politics of every group I liked, I wouldn’t have many to choose from. People can believe whatever they want. Just because I disagree with them doesn’t mean I should demonize them. Honest debate among good Americans is good for the republic.

I am not a country music fan but didn't TK go after the dixie sh&ts for their comments about America. And now he wants to praise obamaboy. Man these actors/musicians are a confused bunch of people.
He did say that obamaboy was the best dem candidate since slick willie. What choices have they had, edwards, kerry, hilliary and obamaboy. Dang what a bunch of losers.
