ok...let’s see if I understand Russian logic.

Invading a country is “peacekeeping”.

Anyone defending themselves against this “peacekeeping” are guilty of “genocide.”

And...

Any country that dares to attemt to defend themselves have provoked a “defensive” reaction from Russia, possibly with nukes.

Lissen up, it's OK to feel sorry for the Georgians, but there's not that much we can do when one of our pals pulls a really dumb move and gets hurt.

IMHO, our esteemed ally pulled one of the dumb moves of history when they decided to try and militarily crush the Russian-supported separatist rebels in South Ossetia. Folks on this site don't seem to understand that there was a large CIS (read Russians) Peace-Keeping force in South Ossetia and Abkhazia, by prior arrangement between Georgia, the UN, and the Russkis.

These CIS Peacekeepers (and distributors of cool weapons to the local rebels...Read Russians) had radios and telephones, so when the Georgians attacked, they called for help from the Russians conveniently waiting across the border, and counter-attacked big time. You know the results.

Russkis, Ossetians, Abkhazians:---------------1
Our pals, those lovable Democratic Georgians: 0

The Georgians got themselves royally trick-f##ked. I expected smarter moves from these rug merchants, horsetraders, and cardsharps. They kicked the Bear and got bitten. Surprise. Surprise.

So now, what the hell are we supposed to do? Send in Obama?
