Can anyone tell me where Dems are getting the talking point that it will take 10 years to get the oil to market if we drill now? IS this a true statement?....(I highly doubt it but looking to find out)

I have read here that 7 1/2 of those years are due to paperwork/permits. Lawsuits probably increase the time, as well.
Back in the day, we were told it would take 15 years to complete the TransAlaska pipeline. It didn’t.

I believe that while testifying before a committee one of the oil companies said that in anwar where there is no infrastructure, it would take ten years at the outside to build and be at “full production”. that is where ten years came from. I also believe they said in the gulf it would take two years.
the democrats of course, choose the time frame that fits their politics best.
