What’s his ACU rating, line 9? Twenty years ago when Bentsen was the Demo candidate for VP and his ACU rating was a remarkable 45 or something in that range, some said he was way to conservative. He couldn’t even be considered for the job today. In the minds of the media, anyone not as far left of Obama or Pelosi is “centrist.” What a joke.
Biden would be like Bentsen in some ways though. He is seen as an elder statesman with some “gravitas.” But apart from that does he bring in a single state? I think his help to Obama is very weak at best. Bayh probably would be a better pick.
Oh sorry, I did not read all the ratings before I posted. I see his ACU rating has been as low as 0. No surprise there. He gets an A from NARAL despite voting to ban partial birth abortion, and even voting to override Clinton’s veto of the ban. I guess as long as he stands with the abortion lobby 90% of the time that’s good enough. I thought they were such ideologues though that even this would not be good enough.
