What I think? OK.
I think that Saakashvilli got tired of the talks which continued 15 years from 1992-3 till now and decided to solve his territorial conflicts by one decisive blow.
Why he decide to act today? Because of he looks for NATO membership but NATO didn’t accept countries with territorial conflicts. But he needed to get the NATO partnership in THIS year till George Bush still the president. SO he must to solve all his territorial conficts to the end of this year or he must forfeit the disptuted territory for NATo partnership or he must forfeit NATO. So that is why he attacked today.
You honestly believe Georgia is the aggressor here and instigated Russia bludgeoning them half to death? That kind of contortion would have won you gold at the Olympics.
Honestly. Russia pre-positioned their best divisions at the border and just happened to have a war game a month ago. you’re Russian sanitived version doesn’t pass the smell test.
