As the person in a prior post said, “You come across as a far right whack job. Far right is as bad as far left”

In your world, somehow you agree that it’s “OK” for a great senator Orrin Hatch to serve in the Senate, but we can’t possibly have a POTUS who is a Morman...

What kind of bigotry is that?

Face the music... Romney is the one needed to fight against Obama (McCain certainly can’t do it). Romney is the perfect attack dog who will systematically dismantle all of Obama’s flawed socialist left-wing ideas.

Just open your mind a little, OK?

A US Senator represents his state, a president represents the entire country. It is all a matter of degree of power one holds. Because Utah is a Mormon state, they will most certainly have a Mormon senator; although I don’t think Senator Hatch is an example of a devout Mormon. Romney is devout, although he seems to waffle about it.

I am an analytical person that weighs pros and cons for decisions (AKA an open mind). Romney is a poor choice for VP - he brings nothing but negatives (his devout Mormonisn being his worst IMO) except for the state of Utah and a scattering of voters from the primary, which he bought with his personal fortune. Romney did not do well in the South, which is the solid base for the GOP.

Mike Huckabee, although I know he would not be a good choice either, to contrast things...would actually solidy the Southern vote essential to win.

“Face the music... Romney is the one needed to fight against Obama (McCain certainly can’t do it).”

I suggest you learn how to “read the music.” Romney cannot and will not accomplish what you think he will. Plus, McCain showed at Saddleback that he is sharper than given credit. No, Romney is NOT the choice. However, I must admit, of those whose names have been floated, I don’t see any that look good. Maybe McCain should tap Senator Tom Cole for Oklahoma? Or maybe ask former Oklahoma Congressman J.C. Watts, who is about as eloquent as they come.
