That's an interesting point. Vietnam vets have been so stigmatized, mainly by the left for political reasons, as tragic burnouts and above all as pathetic victims. A McCain presidency would probably help undo that.

Btw, isn't it funny how in 2004 being a Vietnam vet and a "war hero" was, to liberals, the ultimate credential for a presidential candidate? Yet just four later they seem almost totally disinterested in the fact that we have a true Vietnam war hero in McCain. In fact it's not uncommon to see his POW status mocked on the lefty forums. Funny how fashions change like that.

For the 1st five years after the war ended other Vets were hard to find but when Hollywood started to make movies about the war everything changed.They lied about us right from the start.One of the reasons Kerry was rejected by most Vets.We all knew pukes like him from our service.
